Reykjavík 15 Martie 2010It is with great pleasure that we announce that Reykjavík University is opening a summer school for the first time. Ten courses will be offered at the graduate level, starting this June. The programme is geared towards international students and all classes will be taught in English.

Here's how it will work:
The Summer School will last for three weeks, from 14 June to 2 July. Students will register for one of ten graduate-level courses on offer; each class is worth 6 ECTS credits. The classes will be taught in the mornings, followed by lunch and an optional social activity designed to allow you to experience the most of being in Iceland.

The following courses will be taught this summer:

• Computer Games
• Renewable Energy
• Financial Restructuring
• Sustainable Innovation
• Outdoor Sports
• Women and Leadership
• Icelandic for Foreigners
• Iceland’s Economic Collapse
• Academic English
• A Positive Approach to Mood Alteration

The social programme is also comprehensive, and includes cycling, horseback riding, kayaking and sea swimming on the thermal beach right next to our brand new campus.

The fee to attend the Summer School is EUR 1040. This fee will cover the cost of the course as well as lunch on weekdays.

The deadline for applications is 9 April.
